Oh man. I have two very exciting things happening—one of which I unfortunately can’t tell you for another month or so, but I’m dancing all over the house today with excitement!
I can tell you that I’m back in school! I’ve got classes on a big ol’ campus and everything. (Surprised? Me too!) Within 24 hours, I went from never considering school again, to discovering I was a candidate for a local scholarship, to realizing the only program I would ever go back for was offered, to being accepted to both college and the full-ride scholarship.
My heart’s bursting at the insane timing of it all—I signed up one day before classes began and never would have been a candidate for the scholarship if it weren’t for a myriad of life events unfolding the way they did. I’m definitely adding it to my list of “divinely synchronistic experiences”.
Needless to say, these past few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster as I rearranged my life around my new school schedule. It’s been a tricky transition, but one that feels certainly right.
The past few years have taught me two invaluable truths: I can achieve anything I set my mind to, and most importantly, life doesn’t have to be an “either/or”. Life can be a continuous and wondrous list of experiences. Of saying, “oh, I want to do this AND that. And that thing too…”
This lesson didn’t come easily, but it’s one that’s helped soften the blows in confusing moments. It’s taught me to lean into and trust my gut instincts, and to simply marvel at life as it unfolds around me.
My hope for life is to explore my curiosities, trust my intuition, and build upon the list of adventures I’ve already collected. I hope to help people in some way, shape, and form each step of the way. And I hope to show my kiddos that life is fluid—just like the circumstances around us, we are ever-shifting and ever-changing. We are fluid. Our perspective of the world around us is fluid. If we don’t like something, there’s always a way to navigate muddied waters and find a brighter side.
Thank you for reading this little update. I’ve missed connecting with you and hope you’re doing well, in whatever chapter of your life you’re in!
